Salem County Film and Arts Festival Takes Over Woodstown This Saturday—And I’ll Be There

There’s something different happening in South Jersey this weekend—and I’m not just covering it, I’m part of it.

The Salem County Film and Arts Festival makes its debut this Saturday, April 25 in Woodstown, bringing together film, art, music, and community for what’s shaping up to be a full-scale cultural experience.

And this year, I’ll be on the ground as a featured press partner, interviewing talent and capturing the stories that come out of it.

A Festival Built Into the Town

What stands out immediately is how this festival is designed.

It’s not confined to one space—it moves with you.

Programming will take place across:

  • Blue Moon Theatre (film screenings)
  • Farmers & Bankers Brewing (events and gatherings)
  • Woodstown Central Railroad (cinematic train rides)

It turns the entire town into part of the experience.

What You’re Walking Into

This isn’t just for film insiders—it’s built for everyone.

The lineup includes:

  • Independent film screenings
  • Live music and performances
  • Food trucks and local eats
  • A drone demonstration from the Salem County Sheriff’s Department
  • Cinematic train rides
  • Panels, networking, and film-themed trivia
  • Activations from local businesses

It’s layered in a way that lets you engage at your own level—whether you’re there to watch, connect, or just take it all in.

Where I Come In

As part of the festival, I’ll be conducting interviews and spotlighting the filmmakers, artists, and creatives behind the work.

For me, this is always the most important part.

Because festivals like this aren’t just about what’s on screen—they’re about the people creating it, the stories behind it, and the conversations that happen when you bring everyone into the same space.

Expect coverage, interviews, and moments from the ground throughout the day.

Why This Matters

We always talk about cities like Philadelphia or New York City when it comes to film and culture.

But this? This is how you build something locally that actually lasts.

The Salem County Film and Arts Festival is creating:

  • A platform for independent voices
  • A space for real creative exchange
  • A foundation for South Jersey’s artistic identity

And being part of that—especially at the ground level—matters.

Plan Ahead

Some experiences, including train rides and select screenings, are limited, so if you’re planning to attend, lock in early.

Final Thoughts

The first year of any festival is about energy—and this one has it.

I’ll be there covering it, connecting with creatives, and bringing those conversations back to you.

If you’re in or around South Jersey, this is one to tap into.
