Some of the biggest names in television, news, sports, entertainment and media will come together in New York City as the Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame celebrates its 34th Anniversary Gala.
The 2026 Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place Tuesday, September 29, at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City, honoring an accomplished class of industry leaders whose work has helped shape broadcasting and television.
And The Buzz is excited to once again be there for the celebration.
This year’s class includes CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, television host and producer Andy Cohen, chef and media personality Bobby Flay, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, and The Good Wife and Elsbeth creators Robert and Michelle King, among an expansive group of executives, creators and personalities from across the industry.
The evening will also celebrate one of television’s most enduring franchises as Star Trek receives the Franchise of the Year Award in recognition of its 60th anniversary. Actress Kate Mulgrew, who famously portrayed Captain Kathryn Janeway in Star Trek: Voyager, is scheduled to attend as a special guest.
Other 2026 inductees include Val Boreland, Joseph M. Cohen, Rita Ferro, Jon Litner, Dr. Joel N. Myers, Jim Packer and Suzanne Scott.
Luis Fernández, Chairman of NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, will receive the Chairman’s Award, with Telemundo and NBC News anchor José Díaz-Balart appearing as a special guest. VIZIO founder and CEO William Wang will receive the Technology Leadership Award.
The gala will be co-hosted by CBS News’ Vlad Duthiers, Fox News’ Bill Hemmer and ABC News’ Will Reeve.
CNN anchor Anderson Cooper will serve as a special presenter for fellow CNN veteran Wolf Blitzer and Andy Cohen, while NBCUniversal News Group Chairman Cesar Conde will present the Chairman’s Award to Fernández.
For more than three decades, the Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame has recognized the people and organizations whose contributions have made a lasting impact across television and media.
