Alexa Havins vs. Jennifer Landon: Who Could Be The Next Lulu Spencer on “General Hospital”?

This past weekend, The BUZZ posed the question on who could be the latest actress to portray Lulu Spencer on ABC Daytime’s, “General Hospital.” One of the actresses we heard that was approached was three-time Daytime Emmy winner Jennifer Landon. Fans may remember her best for playing Gwen Norbeck Munson on the former CBS soap, “As The World Turns.” Now, another possible player could also be in the game.

Word has it that Alexa Havins was also approached to play the role of Lulu. The actress played the role of Arabella “Babe” Carey Chandler on, “All My Children,” from 2003-2007. She would make a special guest appearance on the final ABC run episode in 2011. While Landon could bring back that spunky Lulu we first saw with Julie Marie Berman’s interpretation of the character (more of a Luke Spencer edginess), Havins could bring the element for compassion of family, in the sense of a Laura Spencer Collins contemporary.

Of course, Havins could also bring that spunk back to Lulu as well. After all, her Babe on “AMC” had to go up against Erica Kane, Adam Chandler and his son, Janet “from Another Planet” Green, and countless others. She was the daughter of Krystal Carey and Dr. David Hayward, and found herself immersed in a toxic relationship with JR Chandler, keeping her best friend’s baby for 10 months, awarded shares in Fusion Cosmetics because Greenlee Smythe was being petty, and trying to find and be loved in all the wrong places.

It was also noted that Landon can currently be seen in the hit series, “Yellowstone,” with the second half of the final season set to premiere this November. However, there are reports that the show could come back for a potential season six, yet nothing has been signed off on.

What do you think? Who would like to see be the new Lulu Spencer?
