Fans have been wanting to know who will be Lulu Spencer when she awakens from the coma. Speculation began when it was announced that “General Hospital” will be recasting the part that was last played by Emme Rylan. Julie Marie Berman brought the teen adult version of the character onto the screen in 2005. The question now remains… who will be playing her going forward?

While certain names have been thrown out there by fans of who they envision for the role, one name came to mind when sources mentioned that the ABC Daytime was looking for a name. The name? Jennifer Landon. Sources stated that she was approached for the role, and while the actress was not on our initial bucket list of performers for the character, we would certainly welcome her with open arms!

Landon got her start in the soap community when she first premiered as Gwen Norbeck Munson on the CBS Daytime soap, “As The World Turns.” The character of Gwen would be involved in major storylines from the jump, including baby switching, thanks to the machinations of Craig Montgomery (Hunt Block), terrorized by Adam Munson (Matt Cavenaugh) after he was presumed dead, and a look-alike obsessed fan (also played by Landon) who was brought to Oakdale by Jade Taylor (Elena Goode) to wreak havoc.

During Landon’s time on the show, Gwen would eventually find happiness with Will Munson (Jesse Lee Soffer) and would turn out to be the half-sister of Carly Tenney Snyder (Maura West). The actress would win three consecutive Daytime Emmy Awards for her portrayal of Gwen Munson and left the role in 2008. However, she returned in the show’s final year in 2010 for guest appearances.

Two years after “ATWT” ended, Landon would have a brief stint playing Heather Stevens on, “The Young and the Restless.” While this role was short lived for the actress, it was great to see her back in a daytime soap role. In 2017, Landon appeared on then NBC (now Peacock) soap, “Days of our Lives,” as Hillary Nelson for several episodes.

Landon eventually got an even bigger break when she joined the cast of the popular television series, “Yellowstone,” as Teeter. While she originally was on the show in a recurring capacity, the actress was bumped up to contract status in season 5.

What do you think? Could you see Jennifer Landon bring that spunk back to Lulu on “GH”? If so, this could also reunite her and Maura West again after 14 years. Could that magic happen again?

Who do you envision for the role? Sound off below!
