Fan favorite John-Paul Lavoisier is coming back to daytime. The former “One Life to Live” actor is set to join the Emmy-winning soap, “Days of our Lives,” Soap Digest reports. Lavoisier will be taking over the role of Philip Kiriakis.
The actor has already started filming, and will begin airing around December. Lavoisier is the third adult actor to play the role of Philip. Prior to him, Jay Kenneth Johnson and Kyle Brandt also played the role of Victor and Kate’s son.
Many fans remember Lavoisier best for his role of Rex Balsom at “OLTL,” which he played from 2003 all the way up until its final episode in 2012.
Aside from his joining “Days,” make sure to watch for Lavoisier in the new web soap, “Winterthorne,” premiering on August 27, 2015. He will be playing the role of Hugh Cambridge, a mysterious man from Miranda Winterthorne’s (Martha Madison) past. Hugh is described as a man who is determined to be a part of the Winterthorne family, and Miranda has underestimated his intent on seducing her.
