Fans attending the “Bill Lawrence & Friends” panel at ATX TV Festival were treated to some major news about the future of Shrinking.
During the event, series co-creator Bill Lawrence revealed that Christian Slater has joined the cast of Shrinking for its upcoming fourth season. The announcement comes just days after it was revealed that Karen Gillan will also be joining the acclaimed Apple TV comedy-drama.
While Lawrence confirmed Slater’s casting, he did not provide details regarding the character he will be playing. Still, the addition of the Emmy-winning actor is another high-profile addition to a cast already packed with fan favorites.
Lawrence also shared that Michael J. Fox will reprise his role in Season 4. Fox made a memorable appearance in the series and his return is expected to play an important role in the show’s next chapter.
In another notable reveal, Lawrence confirmed that Season 4 will feature a time jump, signaling a new phase for the characters as the story continues to evolve.
Shrinking stars Jason Segel as therapist Jimmy Laird alongside Harrison Ford, Jessica Williams, Christa Miller, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, and Ted McGinley.
No premiere date for Season 4 has been announced.
