“GENERAL HOSPITAL” Announces New Headwriting Team: Liz Korte and Patrick Mulcahey

Hot off the heels from our rumor report that headwriting duo Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor were released from, “General Hospital,” Soap Opera Digest announced the new team. Elizabeth Korte and Patrick Mulcahey are set to write for the fictional town of Port Charles.

Mulcahey is no stranger to soaps, as well as “GH.” He previously started at script writer in 1996 before becoming associate head writer in 1998. He previously wrote for, “Search for Tomorrow,” “Guiding Light,” “Texas,” “Santa Barbara,” and, “The Bold and the Beautiful.” Mulcahey was a part of the writing team during the Maya Avant storyline (“B&B), as well as the David Grant storyline (“GL”).

Korte has been a part of “GH” since 1994, and even served as co-headwriter in 2001.
