After a brief return to Salem, look for Melanie to make another vastly exit from town. Daytime Royalty reports that Molly Burnett is out at “Days of our Lives,” as the actress finished filming her six month stint in December.
Burnett originated the role of Melanie in 2010, and stayed with the show until 2012. She made a return in 2014, and will last air sometime in May 2015.
Also, Melissa Archer, who came onto the show as Serena, a man from Eric Brady’s past, is also leaving the show. News began to spread of her exit when Daytime Confidential first broke word. The latest edition of Soap Digest speaks of her exit from the show.
As Archer recently finished filming, look for her to continue airing until late July/Early August. Fans will remember her best from playing the role of Natalie Buchanan McBain on both the ABC and Prospect Park versions of “One Life to Live,” from 2001-2013.
