While attending ATX TV Festival, I spoke with Murray Bartlett about his role as Dennis in Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed.
After watching the first three episodes, one thing stood out to me immediately: Dennis is constantly changing, adapting, and revealing new layers. Bartlett agreed, describing the character as someone who keeps audiences guessing.
“He’s a total shapeshifter.”
Bartlett credited the show’s writing for giving him the opportunity to explore so many different sides of Dennis, calling the role an exciting challenge as an actor.
As for what’s ahead between Dennis and Paula, he wasn’t giving away any spoilers, but he did offer one tease.
“Expect the unexpected.”
According to Bartlett, the cat-and-mouse dynamic between the two characters is far from over.
