Chad DiMera looks to be sticking around Salem, but this time with a new face. Billy Flynn, who currently is still airing as the character on the Peacock soap, “Days of our Lives,” vacated the role and is currently playing Cane Ashby on, “The Young and the Restless.” Well, now a “Y&R” star is taking over the DiMera reins. Deadline has reported that Conner Floyd will be assuming the role of Chad beginning today, June 23rd.
Floyd began his soap career playing the Philip “Chance” Chancellor IV on the CBS soap beginning in 2021. The actor’s on-screen presence seemed to diminish in recent months, especially for a character with a rich family history in Genoa City. Given the heavy storylines that Chad has been featured in, we are left hoping that we will get the same respect as Floyd brings his take on the character.
As the show films 8 months in advance, fans can expect to see Conner Floyd make his first on-screen appearance in April 2026.
