The 30th Anniversary of the Anti-Defamation League’s, “In Concert Against Hate,” took place on Monday, November 18th, at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. This event honored every day heroes who took extraordinary acts to stand up against hate and bigotry.

The emcee of the evening was Ben Stiller, and not only is he known for roles in, “Zoolander,” “There’s Something About Mary,” and “Meet the Fockers,” but is also one of the Goodwill Ambassadors for the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR). We got to speak with him about being asked to host this prestigious event:

“I wanted to do it because as a Jewish person, it’s a time where it’s a little bit scary out there. We have to figure out a way to support people in the world who are feeling the fear, and it’s not just about Jewish people. It’s about everyone.”
