The BUZZ spoke with Chuck Hayward and Wade Allain-Marcus about the remake of the 1991 movie, “Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead.” Simone Joy Jones takes on the re-imaging of the character originally played by Christina Applegate. Hayward spoke with us about wanting to tell this different version of the film that captivated audiences 33 years ago. We also spoke about some specific nods to the original that were included in the film, including the fact that this incarnation was filmed in the original house from the 1991 movie.
Allain-Marcus spoke with us about joining the project due to liking Hayward’s script. He also mentioned about how he saw himself in this film and its characters, and went into more detail about the direction of the movie.
“Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead” will be released on all major digital platforms on Tuesday, November 19th.
