Jonathan Jackson Brings Lucky Spencer Back to “General Hospital”

Fans have been wanting Laura Spencer Collins’ kids to return to Port Charles, and now one of them will heading home. Deadline broke the news that Jonathan Jackson will be returning to, “General Hospital,” as Lucky Spencer. It was hinted at the 51st Daytime Emmy Awards from executive producer, Frank Valentini, that a major male return was coming that would get the fans crazy for it.

Jackson originated the role of Lucky in 1993 and left in 1999. He would return to the role 10 years later in 2009, and would stay in the role until 2011. Jackson would return for a couple guest stints and was last seen in 2015. During his run, he would receive five Daytime Emmy Awards for his work. After leaving “GH” in 2011, Jackson would star in the ABC, then later CMT, series, “Nashville,” for a six season run.

Jonathan Jackson is expected to return later this summer, and expect it to be a long run. Deadline also reports that more returns are set to be announced.
