In an announcement that was teased on Twitter, it was revealed that daytime soap veteran Michael Easton is returning to ABC’s “General Hospital.”
In a video which features both Easton and “GH” executive producer Frank Valentini, the actor is offered to return to the show with “something good in store.”
Easton replied, “I’ll see you in a couple of weeks.”
Easton first gained soap stardom playing the role of Tanner on “Days of our Lives.” He would soon gain more popularity for his portrayal of Caleb Morley on “Port Charles.” After the show’s cancellation, he went to play John McBain on “One Life to Live,” and crossed over the character to “GH” in 2012 after “OLTL” was canceled.
In a lawsuit between ABC and Prospect Park, the “Llanview 3” had to disappear from the fictional town of Port Charles, as they could not keep the rights to those characters, and new characters were introduced in their place. Easton returned as Dr. Silas Clay, but was killed off in mid-2015.
According to Nathan Varni, expect Easton to return as a new character with details soon to be revealed.
