Agent Kyle Sloane is returning to Port Charles, but with an old face. Robb Derringer is set to reprise the role he originated on the ABC Daytime soap, “General Hospital.” The role was previously played by soap veteran Grayson McCouch, who fans remember from his roles on “Another World” and “As The World Turns.”

Soaps in Depth first reported the news of the recent twist, stating that Derringer will be coming back to play a short arc this fall. Daytime Confidential’s Jamey Giddens reported that McCouch refused to return to the role of Sloane after hearing rumors that he was to be killed off. However, in a podcast with “Daytime After Dark,” ABC Network Executive Nathan Varni stated that due to scheduling issues, McCouch could not return to the role.

Robb Derringer is set to return to the screens on “GH” in early September.
