The BUZZ recently attended the 33rd Annual Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame Gala, which is the premier industry event of the year, paying tribute to the pioneers, innovators and stars of broadcast, cable, broadband and streaming television. Among the honorees that were honored included Jimmy Pitaro, Chairman of ESPN, LIVE! with Kelly and Mark executive producer Michael Gelman, and the daytime drama “Days of our Lives.”
Emmy winning actress Sheryl Lee Ralph was honored with the Humanitarian Award. Her organization, The DIVA Foundation, will be celebrating 35 years on November 1st. It was initially founded to help raise awareness and help prevention of HIV/AIDS. It has since expanded its efforts after the COVID-19 pandemic as well as more battles for social justice. The DIVA Foundation will be presenting an anniversary celebration of, “DIVAS Simply Singing! Raising Health Awareness,” at the Taglyan Cultural Complex in Los Angeles.
