The Buzz is very excited for this news that was just broken by TV Guide’s own Michael Logan. “The Young and the Restless” has found its new Phyllis Summers in the form of Emmy-winner Gina Tognoni.
Tognoni first came onto the soap scene in 1995 when she originated the role of Kelly Cramer on “One Life to Live.” She would then reprise the role in 2009 before the show was canceled on ABC. In 2004, she began her Emmy winning stint as Dinah Marler on “Guiding Light,” and played it until the show’s end in 2009.
As Tognoni has been seen in the online series, “Venice,” look for the actress to make her debut on the CBS Daytime soap this summer.
