During the course of Comic-Con, fans are treated to star-studded panels, exclusive giveaways, and offsite activations. As we dive into some of the experiences from this year, we have to point out that one of the offsites proved to set the bar for SDCC. Peacefest, which celebrates the HBO Max series, “Peacemaker,” came together to have fans experience the makeup of the show, including games, contests, and a rock concert!

When we first made our way into the venue, we were escorted upstairs to get our complimentary drink and “Peacemaker” mask. While upstairs, fans were able to play their hand at darts, photo ops with the punching bags and a booth, plus challenge their friends to a game on PS5, Mortal Kombat style. The best part about that is if you play as Peacemaker, and you win, you are entered for a chance to win a PS5 or a Razer headset or Kitsune.

Back downstairs, we saw holographic screens with John Cena in his Peacemaker character popping up to hype up fans of the experience. The site was selling merchandise, including t-shirts, while fans were able to enter another contest giveaway.

Sideshow is offering fans a chance to win a Peacemaker: Eat Peace… statue, which is valued at $750. One lucky person who had the chance to attend this event at Comic-Con will win this coveted piece.

The best part of the event? Way Cool: The Band! As we made our way to the stage, Way Cool was about to take the stage to give fans a rock-and-roll performance of the ages. Covering hits such as, “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” by Def Leppard, and, “Livin’ on a Prayer,” by Bon Jovi, the crowd was seen singing, dancing, and having the best time hearing such great tunes from an incredible band. I was also joining in on the fun, and if Way Cool decides to ever cover, “Rock You Like a Hurricane,” by the Scorpions, I will be right up front singing on the mic like no tomorrow!

Watch the video snippet of Way Cool starting off that recognizable beginning riff of, “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” below:

Overall, this experience was the best as we got to see fans party, have fun, let loose, and have the best time! I give this excursion an A! If you have not checked out Peacefest, you only have several hours to check it out as it ends Saturday, July 26th, and running from 1-2PM.

Randomly selected fans and certain member of the press will be attending the Peacefest VIP Party tonight. Check out The BUZZ for recaps from the event.

Many thanks to HBO Max, Warner Bros. Discovery, and DC Studios for having us attend this incredible event.
