This past week, the cast and crew of AMC’s “The Walking Dead: Dead City” visited The Paley Center for Media to discuss the upcoming season. We will be introduced to new characters in New Babylon, including Col. Lucia Narvaez (Dascha Polanco) and Bruegel (Kim Coates). Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Lauren Cohan, and Gaius Charles return this season, and the panel also featured chief content officer of “The Walking Dead” universe and executive producer Scott M. Gimple. Fans that attended were treated to a special preview showing of the season premiere followed by an insightful, yet hilarious, conversation with the cast moderated by Josh Wigler.
As Perlie Armstrong has gotten himself into a much deeper hole than anticipated, his portrayer, Gaius Charles, spoke with us about how is Armstrong going to get out of the current mess he is in. As the first season concluded, Armstrong lied that he killed Negan, and now… he may bit off more he can chew. Pun intended. Charles also spoke about how Armstrong went from chasing after Negan due to him killing five people to now wanting to protect Negan. We also showed some love for his previous shows, “Friday Night Lights,” and, “Grey’s Anatomy,” which The Paley Center for Media will be celebrating 20 years of Shondaland.
