BUZZCast Interviews: Chantae Vetrice Opens Up About the Struggles of Being a Black Jewish Woman and People Doubting Antisemitism

The 30th Anniversary of the Anti-Defamation League’s, “In Concert Against Hate,” took place on Monday, November 18th, at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. This event honored every day heroes who took extraordinary acts to stand up against hate and bigotry.

Chantae Vetrice, a black Jewish woman, talked with us about the lack of representation that she faces as well as people who really do not believe that antisemitism exists. We also spoke about what happened in Columbus, OH, where neo-Nazis walked down the street with swastikas on flags and how we have to do better to combat against hate.

Also, Vetrice released a new single this past Friday, “Vegas (What Goes On),” which can be streamed on music platforms. Vetrice spoke with The Source and had this to say about the single:

“This song is all about embracing the moment and keeping it discreet. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right? It’s about that feeling of escape and pure enjoyment. I want people to feel confident and sexy when they listen to it.”
