The 30th Anniversary of the Anti-Defamation League’s, “In Concert Against Hate,” took place on Monday, November 18th, at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. This event honored every day heroes who took extraordinary acts to stand up against hate and bigotry.
Marissa Hill spoke with us about how she was discriminated against at the young age of 13 and what she did to take a stand against hatred and bigotry. She would begin looking into the ADL and a program they were doing called, “No Place for Hate,” and she would begin to create a school exchange that brings students to other schools to experience life in another person’s shoes.
