As if suspicion was not already looming, it was confirmed earlier this week that Comic-Con will be holding a special Thursday night panel celebrating, “Deadpool & Wolverine.” Deadline was the first to break the news of the, “To Be Announced,” panel, and joining the stage will be Kevin Feige, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and director Shawn Levy.
In order to attend this panel, Con goers had to register by using their email that is tied to their Comic-Con account. The registration period is now closed, and those who have entered will be notified by email if they achieved an entry to the event. We must note two things: If you did not get accepted to attend, you will not receive a notification. Also, fans who registered will be able to bring a plus 1 if they signed up for one. This news will set minds at ease as Hall H will be cleared out prior to the panel.
Feige released a statement to Deadline regarding if Marvel Studios and San Diego Comic-Con would ever part ways:
“I remember showing clips of X-Men 2 for the first time before Hall H existed in San Diego Comic-Con and Sam Raimi with Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man 3 and, of course, our Iron Man panel with Favreau and Downey Jr. We build movie schedules often times, and obviously with the pandemic and the strike that threw a wrench into it for a few years, but we’re able this time to get back to literally designing our film schedules around what we would have ready to show at Comic-Con, to announce and set the expectations and the tonality of what’s to come over the next couple of years. And that starts in Hall H. I think Hall H has become such an iconic venue that people who’ve never been to Comic-Con know what Hall H is, or know that Hall H stands for the unveiling of important, fun pop culture moments.”
The “Deadpool & Wolverine” Panel Celebration takes place Thursday, July 25th, at 6:30 PM.
