As spoilers indicated that Gabi would be seen again in the town Salem, it has now been announced that Cherie Jimenez will be taking on the role. A newcomer to daytime, Jimenez previously had roles in, “The Newsroom,” “NCIS,” “Pretty Little Liars,” and in the Independent film, “Guns & Moses,” starring Mark Feuerstein.
She takes over the role from Camila Banus, who left in 2023. The character was first introduced in 2009 as the younger sister of Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), and she definitely shook things up in the fictional town. This is not the first time Gabi has been in prison, either, as she was convicted for murdering Nick Fallon. She also played pivotal roles in blackmailing Lani Carver, constant feuds with Abigail Horton, and even inadvertently causing Julie Williams to fall down the stairs. Did we forget to mention that Gabi was also responsible for placing a mechanism in Julie’s heart that could cause her to die?
