75th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards Postponed Due to Strike

The 75th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards telecast has been officially postponed due to the SAG-AFTRA and Writers’ Strike. The ceremony, which was slated to air on September 18th on FOX, could potentially see a new date in January 2024, according to Variety. This would be the second time that the Primetime Emmy Awards get postponed. In 2001, the telecast was delayed due to the September 11th attacks.

The Daytime Emmy Awards also saw a similar fate when the telecast was postponed back in June. The ceremony, which would have celebrated its 50th year, was set to honor Susan Lucci and Maury Povich with Lifetime Achievement Awards, as well as celebrate the anniversaries of, “The Young and the Restless,” and, “General Hospital.”

We will keep you updated when a new date is announced for both of these ceremonies.
