Country music singer Justin Gaston is coming to the fictional town of Salem as Ben on “Days of our Lives.” Known for his appearance on “Nashville Star,” Gaston first began taping at the NBC Daytime soap in October, and is expected to air on-screen sometime later this month.
A casting call went out in June 2013 for the Ben character which was described as “a midwestern or southern (very southern accent) country boy,” and ” is utterly charming in his honest sincere approach to life and love.”
First reported at Daytime Royalty by Jason47, Ben will first share scenes with Sonny (Freddie Smith), Tad (Brendon Coughlin) and Jordan (Chrishell Stause). It is being hinted that Ben and Jordan may have a history.
Aside from his other television appearances on “Hannah Montana,” “Glee,” and “Single Ladies,” Gaston is married to “The Young and the Restless” star Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman).
