Thad Luckinbill is one the actors who have been cast in a series regular role on the upcoming divorce-law pilot for ABC. TV Line first broke the news about the project, produced by Reese Witherspoon, and will star Blair Underwood.
The series, currently known as, “The Untitled Meaghan Oppenheimer Project,” follows Gemma, a hot-shot ruthless attorney, whose life becomes unhinged when her forlorn sister comes back into her life. Underwood stars as James, Gemma’s mentor, and occasional lover. Yahoo! reports that Luckinbill plays the role of Oliver, Gemma’s “trophy” fiancee, and the poster child of being a rich kid with classic good looks.
Luckinbill gained attention for playing the role of heartthrob JT Hellstrom on the CBS Daytime drama, “The Young and the Restless.” He would play the role from 1999-2010. His other credits include having guest starring roles on “Major Crimes” and “Criminal Minds.”
Other notable stars slated for the pilot include T.R. Knight, Penelope Ann Miller, and Charity Wakefield. The pilot is set to be filmed in Dallas, TX, executive produced by Witherspoon, Bruna Papandrea and Oppenheimer, who also serves as writer.
