Greg Vaughan, who is a soap fan favorite, will be exiting the NBC Daytime soap, “Days of our Lives.” Serial Scoop broke the exclusive that Vaughan’s character has been written off the canvas. The actor joined the show in 2012 as Eric Brady, the son of Roman Brady and Marlena Evans, and twin brother to Sami Brady.

Vaughan was involved in the shocking, yet popular, storyline involving Kristen DiMera, where Eric was drugged and wound up having sex with her (while he was still a priest)! In more recent months, it seemed that Eric was at a standstill, and not much was going for the character as of late. However, a certain pick-me-up looks to be ahead for him…as Eric has turned to the bottle!

According to Serial Scoop, while Vaughan resigned with the show, it looks to have been only an extension so that the writers can properly write out the character.

Vaughan is no stranger to soaps. He began his daytime soap career at “The Young and the Restless,” as Diego Guitierrez. He would then take over the role of Lucky Spencer on ABC’s “General Hospital.” With the character of Dr. Patrick Drake about to leave the canvas, wouldn’t it be a good time for Lucky to come home to Port Charles?
