After much speculation, it was finally confirmed that Billy Miller is set to take on the role of Jason Morgan on ABC Daytime’s “General Hospital.” The role was previously played by Steve Burton, who can be currently seen on the CBS Daytime’s “The Young and the Restless” as Dylan McAvoy. Executive Producer Frank Valentini took to his Twitter to announce the news:
“Billy Miiller is joining the cast of @GeneralHospital in the role of Jason Morgan. Welcome to Port Charles Billy #GH“
The three time Daytime Emmy Award winner first started on soaps when he played the role of Richie Novak on “All My Children.” He would soon take on the role of Billy Abbott on “Y&R” and became an instant fan favorite. Along with his daytime credits, Miller made several guest appearances on prime time shows, including “Justified,” and “Ringer.”
