This past week, The Buzz attended the Paley Center for Media’s PaleyLive event, “Celebrating 20 Years of Shondaland,” which featured a conversation with Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, James Pickens Jr., Conrad Ricamora, Bellamy Young, and Scott Foley. The panel was moderated by TODAY co-anchor Craig Melvin. The lineup spoke about some of their favorite moments from the Shondaland shows as well as behind-the-scenes secrets, including Pickens Jr. being the first AND only choice for the role of Richard Webber on “Grey’s Anatomy.” The Buzz had the opportunity to speak with the guests during the red carpet.
Tony Award nominee Conrad Ricamora played the role of Oliver on, “How to Get Away with Murder,” and he revealed how a role that was supposed to be only featured in the pilot turned into a full series run! The actor also spoke with us about a moment in network primetime television that was a first: a threesome! Also, hear what he had to say regarding him hearing the news that he was nominated for a Tony for, “Oh, Mary!”
