As it had been previously reported by several media outlets, Lifetime is planning on airing a movie biopic about the late singer, Whitney Houston. “I Will Always Love You: The Whitney Houston Story” is set to be directed by Angela Bassett. The film is set to focus primarily on Houston’s marriage to singer, Bobby Brown.
Word has come out as to who is set to play Houston. YaYa DaCosta from “America’s Next Top Model” and the former ABC soap, “All My Children,” will take on the coveted role, reported by TVLine.
According to an article by TMZ, Houston’s estate is trying to stop the film project, and even could go as far as issuing a lawsuit to block production. Her estate not only said that her life was to big to be on the small screen, thay had announced plans to produce a feature film which sort of resembles Michael Jackson’s “This is It” from 2009.
Lifetime is planning on a 2015 release of the “I Will Always Love You: The Whitney Houston Story” biopic.
