The fire captain is making another pit stop to the crew in West Philadelphia as Mike O’Malley will be making another appearance as Captain Robinson on the ABC sitcom, Abbott Elementary. The former Nickelodeon GUTS host revealed this past weekend at Rhode Island Comic Con that he heads back to film in December.
O’Malley first appeared as Captain Robinson during season two and would become involved with Melissa (Lisa Ann Walter) the following season, although this would be revealed off-screen. Robinson would appear again during season four, showing that his relationship with the second-grade teacher is still going strong.
O’Malley has many accolades to his name, which also includes hosting, Get the Picture, and starring in shows, Life with Roger, Yes, Dear, Glee, Snowpiercer, and Heels.
As he will be filming his episode in December, we should expect to see Mike O’Malley as Captain Robinson sometime in the new year.
Abbott Elementary airs Wednesdays at 8:30 PM ET/PT on ABC, streaming next day on HULU.
