‘Landman’ To Receive TEXAS MADE AWARD at ATX TV Festival

The Paramount+ original series Landman is set to receive ATX TV Festival’s inaugural “Texas Made” Award, presented in partnership with Media For Texas, the state’s leading media advocacy and non-profit organization dedicated to building a thriving entertainment industry across Texas. Star/executive producer Billy Bob Thornton, co-creator/executive producer Christian Wallace, and cast member Jacob Lofland will be on hand to accept the award on the behalf of the series.

The “Texas Made” Award celebrates individuals and productions with Texas ties who are creating professional opportunities for the creative community within the state, and bolstering Texas as a creative and cultural center through their work.

Landman, created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, was inspired by Boomtown, a podcast from Texas Monthly and Imperative Entertainment hosted by Wallace. Set in West Texas and primarily filmed in and around Forth Worth, the series is a modern tale of fortune seeking amongst roughnecks and billionaires in the world of oil.

Following the award presentation, Thornton, Wallace, and Lofland will join for a discussion about the show’s record-breaking first season, which quickly became the most-watched Paramount+ original in the platform’s history.

Landman is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions, and stars Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Sam Elliott, Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan and Colm Feore.
