ATX TV Festival Season 14 Expands Lineup with Kevin Williamson, TV Trivia Night, ‘The Four Seasons’ & More

ATX TV Festival has announced new additions to its 2025 festival line-up, taking place May 29 – June 1, 2025 in Austin, TX. 

  • NBCUniversal and Universal Studio Group will present several featured Panels and Events at this year’s festival, including: 

o    The Four Seasons with Co-Creator/Co-Showrunner Lang Fisher and Star Kerry Kinney Silver – Universal Television will present a conversation with The Four Seasons co-creator/co-showrunner Lang Fisher and star Kerri Kenney-Silver, who will dive into the critically-acclaimed eight-episode comedy which recently debuted at the #1 series on Netflix. 

o    Funny AF – USG’s top comedians and comedy showrunners discuss their current series, their comedic roots and influences, the future of comedy TV, and more. Confirmed panelists include co-creator/showrunner Lang Fisher (The Four Seasons) and actors Oscar Nuñez (The Office, The Paper), Mekki Leeper (St. Denis Medical), and Kerri Kenney-Silver (The Four Seasons).

o    Kevin Williamson Career Retrospective – The festival will feature a look back (and forward) at the groundbreaking career of Kevin Williamson, the creator/showrunner behind Dawson’s Creek, The Vampire Diaries, The Following, and more. Williamson will be joined by friends from his prolific TV projects, including his new Netflix series, The Waterfront, to discuss his legacy in television. 

o    Fireside Chat with Kevin Williamson, Julie Plec, and Kate Hoenigsberg – Universal Television’s SVP of Drama Development Kate Hoenigsberg will join showrunners Kevin Williamson (The Waterfront) and Julie Plec (We Were Liars) for an inside look into the development process behind their upcoming summer series from both the studio and creative POVs. 

o    TV Trivia Night presented by NBCUniversal – Camp Badgeholders will be able to attend TV Trivia Night to kick off the Festival on Thursday night, featuring team trivia, hosted food & drink, and prizes provided by NBCUniversal.

  • Collaborative Casting: Casting Executives and Casting Directors presented by CSA – The festival will continue its long-running partnership with Casting Society, featuring a conversation that explores the relationship between casting executives and casting directors, and how these two sides of the casting process come together to balance performance, story, and the long-term creative goals of a series within the larger TV landscape. Panelists will include casting executive Steven O’Neill (EVP, Casting and Talent Development, UCP), and casting directors Debby Romano (Shrinking) and Felicia Fasano (Better Things). 
  • Clean Slate with Co-Creators & Executive Producers  – A “For Yo’ Momma’s Consideration” panel featuring a conversation with Clean Slate co-star / co-creator / executive producer George Wallace, co-creator / co-showrunner / executive producer Dan Ewen, co-showrunner / executive producer Simran Baidwan, and non-writing executive producer Brent Miller. The team behind the Norman Lear-produced series will discuss the relationship between Desiree (Laverne Cox) and Harry (George Wallace) at the heart of the show, why multigenerational LGBTQIA+ narratives – and especially comedies – are more needed than ever, future hopes for the series, and more. 
  • Casting a Spotlight: Unsung Actors – Actors Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gemstones) and John Ales (Painkiller) will join casting directors Sherry Thomas (The Righteous Gemstones), Felicia Fasano (Better Things), and Bonnie Zane (Suits LA) for the “Casting a Spotlight: Unsung Actors,” a conversation highlighting the must-watch actors who make the most of every second on screen, yet often go unsung.
