ATX TV Festival has announced new additions to its 2025 festival line-up, taking place May 29 – June 1, 2025 in Austin, TX.
- Duster Screening and Q&A with Creator & Cast – Max will present an advance screening of a new episode from upcoming drama series Duster, from co-creators/executive producers/writers LaToya Morgan and J.J. Abrams, followed by a conversation with Morgan and stars Josh Holloway, Rachel Hilson, Keith David, and Asivak Koostachin. Set in the 1970s Southwest, Duster explores the life of a gutsy getaway driver for a growing crime syndicate that goes from dangerous to wildly, stupidly dangerous when a tenacious young agent comes into town hellbent on taking his crime family down. The series premieres May 15 on Max.
- The Gilded Age in Conversation presented by HBO and Max – HBO and Max will host a conversation with The Gilded Age stars Carrie Coon, Christine Baranski, and Morgan Spector, revisiting the drama of the first two seasons as the Russells and van Rhijns vie for power and influence in 1880s New York City high society. The conversation will also include a preview of Season 3, set to return this June on HBO and Max.
- Brett Goldstein and Zach Braff join “Bill Lawrence & Friends” – The festival’s previously announced “Bill Lawrence & Friends” conversation will feature Emmy®-winning actor, writer, and producer Brett Goldstein and actor/director Zach Braff. Goldstein and Braff, who have collaborated with Lawrence multiple series including Shrinking, Ted Lasso, Bad Monkey, and Scrubs, will join for a wide-ranging Marquee conversation about all things comedy and TV as part of the festival’s Closing Night line-up.
A limited number of single tickets for the event are available now, in addition to Badges and TV Passes for the full festival.
- Inside the Writers Room: Shrinking – The writers of Shrinking will join for a one-of-a-kind look inside the writers room, with a conversation featuring writers Rachna Fruchbom, Brian Gallivan, Neil Goldman, Bill Posley, Ashley Nicole Black, Sofi Selig, and Zack Bornstein. The group will delve into the writing process behind the show’s acclaimed second season, striking the delicate balance between comedy and drama, collaboration and chemistry within the room, and more.
- “Mad Men Revisited” adds Star John Slattery and Moderator Noah Hawley – John Slattery will join Jon Hamm for the festival’s previously announced Mad Men retrospective, marking the 10th anniversary of the series finale. Over the course of the series, Slattery received four Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his performance as Roger Sterling, and won two Critics’ Choice Television Awards and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.
The conversation with Hamm and Slattery will be moderated by Emmy Award-winning writer/creator/director and Mad Men admirer Noah Hawley (Alien: Earth, Fargo), who most recently collaborated with Hamm on the critically acclaimed fifth season of Fargo.
