The 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards took place on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. The BUZZ attended the ceremony and spoke to some of today’s hottest stars in daytime.
Ryan Paevey plays the role of Det. Nathan West on the ABC Daytime soap, “General Hospital.” Fans have come to enjoy the possible impending romance between Nathan and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). Paevey spoke about working with his on-screen partner:
“She is awesome. Little known fact: she was there for my screen test AND my first day of working. She has personally been there for me through this whole thing. As the show has progressed, we as people, not just as actors, are friends outside of the show. She is a joy to work with, and a great person. That kind of friendship and personal chemistry, you can’t help but carry that onto the set, especially when it serves you.”
Longtime “Knots Landing” fans will know that Donna Mills played his mother, now aunt, on the show. We got to speak with him about working the fan favorite:
“Here’s the big admission. I was a little embarrassed because I didn’t know anything about ‘Knots Landing’ when Donna showed up. So, they started to make introductions, and I was like, ‘That’s awesome!’ Shortly thereafter, I did a bunch of research so I wouldn’t have my foot in my mouth when I met her. WHEW! She’s awesome to work with. I look forward to her coming back.”
