The Buzz attended the Creative Arts Emmy Awards for Daytime on Friday, June 20, 2014. The ceremony took place at the Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles, CA.

Kati Mac is a singer/songwriter who was nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards. One of the songs that she was nominated for is called, “Make Me Remember,” which she co-wrote with Rick Krizman. The second song she was nominated for is called, “While We Can,” which was co-written by Joie Scott. “While We Can” was used on a special tribute episode for Jeanne Cooper on “The Young and the Restless” back in May 2013, which featured a special montage of photos and clips.

We spoke with Kati Mac about the song process, as well as how her song was able to be featured on the “Y&R” Emmy winning special.
