This past week, The Buzz attended the Paley Center for Media’s PaleyLive event, “Celebrating 20 Years of Shondaland,” which featured a conversation with Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, James Pickens Jr., Conrad Ricamora, Bellamy Young, and Scott Foley. The panel was moderated by TODAY co-anchor Craig Melvin. The lineup spoke about some of their favorite moments from the Shondaland shows as well as behind-the-scenes secrets, including Pickens Jr. being the first AND only choice for the role of Richard Webber on “Grey’s Anatomy.” The Buzz had the opportunity to speak with the guests during the red carpet.

Betsy Beers, who partnered with Shonda Rhimes in 2009 to produce films and television projects for Shondaland, spoke with us about the longevity of “Grey’s” and why it is still a fan favorite since its premiere in 2005. Also, could there be more to come in the multiverse of Shondaland? Beers gave us the scoop on that as well!
