The BUZZ got to travel to New York City this week as several members of “The Bold and the Beautiful” cast came to pay the Big Apple a visit. This marked the first time the show ever made an east coast fan appearance since its premiere back in 1987. What better way to celebrate their new season than in one of the fashion capitals of the world during Fashion Week! We had the chance to speak with some of the stars at the event.
First up, our chat with Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) and John McCook (Eric Forrester):
NaVell J. Lee: When are we going to see Eric? It’s been so long since we have seen you on-screen.
John McCook: He’ll be back. He’s there. The story right now has me over here, and stuff is developing. It is my fervent hope, and I trust, that I will be back very soon.
NaVell J. Lee: And Jacqueline, you are also here for Fashion Week.
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood: Yes, for Fashion Week and the Fan Event. Obviously, since it’s Fashion Week, it worked out perfectly for me. It’s been great to meet the fans.
JM: I always thought that “The Bold and the Beautiful” ought to shoot a remote in Milan during Fashion Week, or even here in New York. The show would be around backstage during this, and it would be really cool. We could easily do that.
NJL: Speaking of that, I loved when “B&B” went on location during the Portifino years. I would love to see that happen again.
JM: Hey, let’s go!
JMW: Definitely! Sign me up!
JM: This company, the Marquis, in Portifino, if we went for a week? It would burn down! (laughs)
NJL: Jacqueline, I finally got around to watching the first season of “South Beach” on Hulu.
JMW: Oh, good!
NJL: Total binge fest, for sure!
JMW: That’s awesome!
JM: How many episodes are there?
JMW: Six episodes for the first season.
JM: I need to watch this, for sure.
NJL: How was it doing “South Beach”?
JMW: It was so much fun. I got the call, and I immediately wanted to get on board. Joshua Caldwell is a phenomenal director. He has worked on so many things, and has a great eye. Also, we were filming down in South Beach. It was really cool to be there, and filming at these massive clubs and gorgeous hotels. Maybe there will be a season two. We’ll see.
NJL: What was it like for both of you to sit back and watch the episode with the fans today here in New York? I believe this is the first time your show has been here?
JMW: (to John) Yeah, this is our first time here, right?
JM: We’ve never been to New York. That’s right.
JMW: (to NJL) Well, I’ve seen you tweeting about the show.
NJL: I’ve actually been good lately!
JMW: You have been good! *I* may have been ranting lately! (laughs)
NJL: Well, I did comment on the Aly/rock incident…
JMW: Oh, yea…I did see that! (laughs)
NJL: We still love you, though!
JM: See, this is why Eric never gets involved in this stuff!
JMW: You know, that is so great about these fan events. You meet people from Twitter and all over the world. They have been fans for so long. It was the most interesting, exhilarating, interactive time. It was so much fun!
NJL: You both got to see just exactly how the fans watch your show!
JM: Absolutely!
NJL: Do you both watch yourselves on-screen?
JMW and JM: Yes, we do.
JM: My wife and I watch the show every night. We are not home together during the day, necessarily. So, we don’t watch it unless we can watch it together. We watch it, we fast forward through Jackie’s stuff, and watch all of my stuff!
JMW: (laughs) Yes, of course!
Still to come, our interviews with Ashleigh Brewer (Aly Forrester), Pierson Fodé (Thomas Forrester), Linsey Godfrey (Caroline Spencer Forrester), and Thorsten Kaye (Ridge Forrester).
