“General Hospital” star Maurice Benard takes on a different role in his upcoming film, “The Ghost and the Whale.” Benard plays the role of Joseph Hawthorne, a bi-polar man who went out to sea with his love, Annabel, only to return home alone. The mystery surrounding Annabel’s disappearance brings a journalist to town asking questions. Can the mystery be uncovered before it’s too late when her family comes to exact revenge?
Alongside Benard, other stars in the movie include James Guadioso, Jonathan Pryce, Madeline Hamer, Bryan McKinley, and Anthony Guadioso. Other appearances in the film include Tippi Hendren (“The Birds,” “Marnie”) soap vet Ron Hale. Hale played the role of Roger Coleridge on “Ryan’s Hope,” and Sonny Corinthos’ father, Mike Corbin, on “GH.”
Counting down til the release of the trailer, Benard released a video letting fans know that a contest is running for them to bid on two tickets to the premiere of the film in Los Angeles.
