The BUZZ had the chance to cover San Diego Comic-Con, and it was a jam-packed year! From activations to star-studded panels, it was one that was a can’t miss. During the course of the 5 days, which include preview night, we conducted several interviews with talent showcasing our nerd-dom but also love for this environment.
Michael Hirsh has been a staple in the animation world for decades, spanning back to his work on the cartoon series, “Beetlejuice,” to, “Arthur,” “Little Bear,” and many others. We spoke with Hirsh about his involvement with the cartoon based off of the Tim Burton movie, as well as his start in the industry. We also got to talk with him about his book, “Animation Nation: How We Built a Cartoon Empire,” which had a panel and autograph signing at this year’s Comic-Con. Burton, Mr. T, George Lucas and others provided some anecdotes in the book as well.
