ATX TV Festival Interviews: Danny Pino, Mark Feuerstein, & Yul Vazquez of MGM+ “Hotel Cocaine”

The Buzz recently attended the 13th season of the ATX TV Festival. Taking place in Austin, TX, this event celebrates the best in television with panel discussions, screenings of current and upcoming programs, and even table readings. What sets it apart from the rest is the opportunity to connect with other TV lovers and appreciate the medium.

We had the chance to speak with the stars of the new MGM+ series, “Hotel Cocaine.” Mark Feuerstein (Burton Greenberg) touched on what it was like reading AND filming the scenes where he learned that his character was the inspiration of a hit song that was released in 1981. *HINT: it is a song that would later be sampled in a 90’s rap song that we can’t begin to touch.” Yul Vazquez (Nestor Cabal) spoke about the relationship between his character and Danny Pino’s (Roman Compte), and if Nestor’s characteristics compare to that of Bob from, “Seinfeld.” Pino talked about seeing more Latino representation in the television landscape. We lastly touched on if the strikes would have had any concern for the show as it was amid filming, production was halted due to the strikes.

“Hotel Cocaine” premieres on June 16, 2024, on MGM+.
