News broke last month that fan favorite, Michael Muhney, was let go from CBS Daytime’s “The Young and the Restless,” and would last air on January 30, 2014. Fans were left wondering why the show would let go one of its popular actors, and even tried to crucify the shows’ current executive producer for the decision. Many outlets have even come forward and said that Jill Farren Phelps is not to blame for this action, and was more to the story.
According to the latest report from TMZ, Muhney was let go from the show for allegedly bullying and groping a co-star on more than one occasion.
Per TMZ:
Multiple sources connected to the show tell TMZ … 38-year-old Muhney allegedly bullied and harassed 20-year-old. She went to higher-ups and complained recently Muhney had fondled her breasts on 2 occasions — and she said both were unsolicited and unwanted.
Sources tell us … the new allegations were the proverbial “straw that broke the camel’s back.” Muhney — who is married with 3 kids — had been a problem on the set for a long time, allegedly bullying and harassing [her] and others. He even admitted in a recent interview with HuffPo’s Canada TV after getting fired, “Sometimes I’ve walked around with a big backpack of hubris.”
The show is planning to recast the role of Adam Newman, and TMZ also posted that a rep has not returned a call placed to them.
