Awards season is officially kicking into gear. The Golden Globes® announced that Marlon Wayans and Skye P. Marshall will present the nominations for the 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards® on Monday, December 8, 2025. The rollout begins at 8:15 a.m. ET/5:15 a.m. PT on CBSNews.com, followed by 11 exclusive categories at 8:30 a.m. ET/5:30 a.m. PT on CBS Mornings. Fans can also stream the announcement live on the CBS News YouTube and TikTok channels. The Golden Globes® social platforms will highlight nominees as they’re revealed, and the full list will be published on GoldenGlobes.com immediately afterward.
Wayans & Marshall Take the Spotlight
Marlon Wayans and Skye P. Marshall will reveal nominees across all 28 award categories, including a brand-new one: Best Podcast.
Wayans, whose career spans film, television, and stand-up, has earned more than $736 million domestically and over $1 billion globally at the box office. He’s currently on his “Wild Child” tour, recently starred in Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw psychological thriller HIM, and just wrapped Scary Movie 6—a 2026 release he wrote, produced, and stars in.
Marshall continues to shine in both film and television. She stars opposite Kathy Bates in CBS’s upcoming Matlock reboot as Olympia Lawrence and is widely known for her roles as Mambo Marie in Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Kara Fowdy in The CW’s Black Lightning.

This year, all categories will include six nominees, except for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, which will feature eight.
Film & TV Categories
Film categories include Drama, Musical or Comedy, Animated Feature, Non-English Language Film, directing, screenwriting, original score, original song, and the full slate of lead and supporting acting awards.
Television categories cover Drama, Musical or Comedy, Limited or Anthology Series, TV Movie, lead and supporting performances, and the Golden Globes®’ category dedicated to stand-up comedy.
A Major First: Best Podcast
In a milestone moment, the Golden Globes® becomes the first major awards ceremony to recognize podcasting. The brand-new Best Podcast category will spotlight outstanding storytelling, innovation, and audio excellence across the medium—reflecting how audiences consume content in today’s world.
The 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards®, hosted by Nikki Glaser, will air Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 8:00–11:00 PM ET / 5:00–8:00 PM PT on CBS, with streaming available on Paramount+.
