AMC and AMC+ have officially announced the premiere date — along with first-look photos — for The Audacity, a bold new drama series from Emmy®, Peabody®, WGA®, and PGA® Award-winning creator Jonathan Glatzer (Succession, Bad Sisters, Better Call Saul). Marking Glatzer’s first-ever series creation, the eight-episode drama will debut Sunday, April 12 at 9PM ET/PT on AMC and AMC+, with new episodes rolling out weekly on Sundays.

Set within the insulated, high-stakes ecosystem of Silicon Valley, The Audacity pulls back the curtain on the contentious intersection of power, technology, and morality. The series explores the warped ambitions, inflated egos, and ethical blind spots of those who believe they are inventing the future — regardless of the cost.

A Satirical Look at Power, Privacy, and Profit

At the center of the story is Duncan Park (Billy Magnussen), an audacious data-mining CEO determined to convert insight and influence into dominance and profit. Surrounded by jaded billionaires, psychiatrist-gurus, bio-hacked tech bros, cutting-edge AI labs, and elite private schools grooming the next generation of “optimized” leaders, The Audacity confronts the unsettling realities behind innovation culture.

Balancing dark comedy with sharp social commentary, the series questions how far ambition can stretch before it snaps — and who gets caught in the fallout when privacy and ethics are treated as expendable.

A Standout Ensemble Cast

The Audacity boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including:

  • Billy Magnussen as Duncan Park
  • Sarah Goldberg as Dr. JoAnne Felder
  • Zach Galifianakis as Carl Bardolph
  • Lucy Punch as Lili Park-Hoffsteader
  • Simon Helberg as Martin Phister
  • Rob Corddry as Tom Ruffage
  • Meaghan Rath as Anushka Bhattachera-Phister
  • Paul Adelstein as Dr. Gary Felder
  • Everett Blunck as Orson Stern
  • Thailey Roberge as Tess Phister
  • Ava Marie Telek as Jamison Park-Hoffsteader

Additionally, Randall Park guest stars as Gabe, the unapologetically efficient CFO of a data-mining operation with few moral qualms.

Behind the Scenes Talent

Jonathan Glatzer serves as executive producer, writer, and showrunner, joined by executive producer Gina Mingacci (Killing Eve). Direction duties are split across a strong lineup:

  • Lucy Forbes (This Is Going to Hurt, Eric) directs the pilot and Episode 2
  • Dan Sackheim directs Episodes 3 and 4
  • Dan Longino directs Episodes 5 and 6
  • Alex Buono directs Episodes 7 and 8

Produced by AMC Studios, The Audacity is an AMC Networks production, with AMC Networks holding worldwide rights to the series.

Why The Audacity Should Be on Your Radar

With its razor-sharp writing, timely subject matter, and stacked cast, The Audacity arrives at a moment when conversations around AI, data privacy, and unchecked tech power feel more urgent than ever. By blending satire with drama, the series promises to challenge viewers while keeping them sharply entertained.

The Audacity premieres April 12 on AMC and AMC+.
