After just a mere 3 months of joining the writing team, The Buzz has heard from a reliable source that Patrick Mulcahey has been let go from, “General Hospital,” as co-headwriter. In a twist, Chris Van Etten steps back into co-headwriting duties with Liz Korte.

Van Etten and Dan O’Connor were released as headwriters earlier this year, however Van Etten remained as a breakdown writer.

What do you think of the latest writer shake-up?

  1. It was not necessary to write him out! It was great to have Gregory there as a good role model to his sons And his romantic side with Alexis and Tracy! I love his presence with his grand daughter! Now what do you have left, besides Sonny hating and beating up everyone! Get it together new writers before you destroy this wonderful soap!!

  2. Just a thought. DNA is not clear cut. It’s all about percentages. Family has better % than non-family members. And brothers better. But twins or triplets is hard to tell unless you look real close. So maybe it was Drew’s DNA not Jason?? Both have motive because of Sam. Drew could be in trouble because of planted DNA. He will have to tell the police that he lied to save his own skin. An alibi for both. They will have to look elsewhere. Drew will have to choose what to do?? Lied to police and Willow and blow up everything including congress. Proof that Jason didn’t lie.
