It’s official. USA has pulled the plug on the original series, “Psych,” following an article posted by The Hollywood Reporter. The show stars James Roday and Dule Hill, and the finale is set to air on March 26. Following the episode, USA will air a special hour-long aftershow special where the cast and series creator, Steve Franks, hold a Q&A with a studio audience.

“Psych” premiered on the network in summer 2006, and reached the 100-episode milestone last March. Chris McCumber, the president of USA Network, released a statement about the final season:

“Psych has made an indelible imprint on the television landscape, with a unique brand of comedy. The final season celebrates the iconic characters that have made this show so beloved, and will be an exclamation point on the series’ incredible run. And while the series will wrap in March, somehow I don’t believe we’ve heard the last of Shawn and Gus.”
