More behind the scenes moves are happening on the NBC Daytime soap. Soap Digest has reported that Lisa de Cazotte is OUT as co-executive producer after close to a three-year stint on “Days of our Lives.” Set to take her place is director/producer Albert Alarr. In addition to Alarr’s new position, Janet Spellman-Rider will now serve as producer.

de Cazotte, formerly Hesser, began her soap career as an intern at “One Life to Live” in 1983. She would soon serve as associate producer for two years there, then coordinating producer for another two years. In 1991, de Cazotte was producer at “Santa Barbara” up until its final episode in 1993. She would then move to “All My Children” as coordinating producer from 1994-1996, only to return to the soap as producer from 2009-2010.

After a short stint at “Sunset Beach” in 1998, de Cazotte would executive produce NBC’s new soap, “Passions,” for its entire run from 1999-2008. After executive producer the second season of “General Hospital: Night Shift” for SOAPnet, she began her “DAYS” career in 2012.

Previously, it was announced that Gary Tomlin and Christopher Whitesell were out as headwriters. Dena Higley and Josh Griffith began serving as co-headwriters at “DAYS” on February 16th. Higley returns to “DAYS” as headwriter after two stints; first in 2003, and then again from 2008-2011. Griffith’s writing resume include “Santa Barbara,” “Hollywood Heights,” “One Life to Live,” and “The Young and the Restless.”
