For four years, Brandon Buddy has played the role of Cole Thornhart on ABC Daytime‘s “One Life to Live.” The character of Cole was involved in notable storylines, including his relationship with Starr Manning, drug abuse, and committing murder which sent him off to prison. After leaving the role, we have not see Buddy in the public eye for a while. We had the chance to catch up with Brandon about what he is currently doing now, as well as promote his upcoming fan event taking place in October:

“This event sparked up when people asked me to do an event in Los Angeles. While that one fell through, people suggested I do an event in New York as there are more people there. That was pretty much how it came about, I got excited about it, and now we’re doing it.”

The event is set to take place at the Amber Restaurant on Saturday, October 12, at 1-4 PM in New York City. Tickets are $65 per person, and to purchase them, log on to http://www.branfanevent.com. The first 20 people who purchase their tickets will have the chance to be entered into a drawing to win a personal phone call from Brandon himself!

Expect tons of activities, including a Q&A session, trivia games, prizes, and photographs/autographs to take place. Deadline is September 12.

Buddy spoke very highly of his time at “One Life,” including his former co-star, Kristen Alderson. The popular pairing of “Sole” still resonates with fans to this day:

“The first time I met Kristen, she was with her mom in the makeup room. I got my makeup done for the screen test, and stood up and said, ‘Hi.’ I was like, ‘Wow!’ *laughs* She was just cute and charming. I was really hoping that people would accept us as couple on-screen. Some people don’t have chemistry, and I was really hoping it would work out for me. Obviously, it did. We both had a great run. There are some die-hard ‘Sole’ fans out there. I was very fortunate that our chemistry worked. She (Alderson) is a great girl, and adore her to death. It meant so much to me that people liked the couple, and it all worked out.”

As far as what has been occupying Buddy’s time, the actor let us in on what he has been working on as of late:

“I’ve been getting involved in local theatre, which has been a blast. The actors are so dedicated to their craft. They love what they do, don’t care about the fame or money at all. Also, I am starting to write. I am in the process of writing a script at the moment. I am planning on shooting it myself, have some of my friends help out, and most likely putting my brother in it. I never even thought I could possibly do this, but because I have so many ideas, I put it all together. Pretty soon, I will be back to L.A. with the videos I got, signing with a new agent, and more. Fans will see me again in some capacity very soon.”

We spoke more with Brandon about the character of Cole, including his thoughts on the death of the character, as well as if he would appear on another soap. Plus, what were some of his favorite memories of his time in Llanview?
