This past week, the cast and crew of AMC’s “The Walking Dead: Dead City” visited The Paley Center for Media to discuss the upcoming season. We will be introduced to new characters in New Babylon, including Col. Lucia Narvaez (Dascha Polanco) and Bruegel (Kim Coates). Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Lauren Cohan, and Gaius Charles return this season, and the panel also featured chief content officer of “The Walking Dead” universe and executive producer Scott M. Gimple. Fans that attended were treated to a special preview showing of the season premiere followed by an insightful, yet hilarious, conversation with the cast moderated by Josh Wigler.

During the panel discussion, Kim Coates made sure to express just how exhausted he was (There was an expletive used before the word, “Exhausted,” but I won’t say it). He also said that until episode four, his character speaks with his eyes, then come the fourth episode, Bruegel can’t shut up! We had fun speaking with Coates before the panel to talk about being a part of “The Walking Dead” universe and how he was shocked in being asked to join. Fans may remember his time on the FX series, “Sons of Anarchy,” as Alex “Tig” Trager, and gave a shout out to that show that was also popular with fans.

The season premiere of “The Walking Dead: Dead City” airs on Sunday, May 4th, on AMC and AMC+.
