Kristian Alfonso to Exit “Days of our Lives”

Kristian Alfonso

After being a part of the Salem canvas for over 30 years, Kristian Alfonso is saying goodbye to Hope Brady. Deadline reports that the actress will not be returning to, “Days of our Lives,” when the show resumes production on September 1st.

Alfonso tells Deadline in her official statement:

“I feel blessed and honored to have been invited into people’s homes for over three decades. However, it is now time for me to write my next chapter.”

Alfonso began her trek on “DAYS” in 1983, when she first appeared as the teenage Hope Williams. Fans would soon be captivated by her romance with rebel Bo Brady (Peter Reckell), which would be a catalyst for over 20 years. The actress first left in 1987 to play a role in the CBS drama, “Falcon Crest,” and would return to “DAYS” in 1990. Hope would be presumed dead after the infamous, “Cruise of Deception,” storyline. She would be back in 1994, and be featured in stories including, “Princess Gina,” “Nightime Hope,” and “Zach’s Death.”

The actress went on to say that she has already filmed her final episode several months ago.
